Due to a billing issue involving our membership with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), we are required to temporarily pause our clinical practice.
We want to reassure you: this issue is entirely administrative. It has no connection to our clinical work, the quality of therapy we provide, or our professional conduct. Our email system had filtered the College’s messages as bulk mail, which caused an unintended delay in paying our annual renewal fees. As a result, CRPO registrations (for Bob West and Lorraine Jaksic) were automatically suspended.
We took immediate action to resolve the issue. Penalties were paid in full, and the process to reinstate our Registered Psychotherapist status is underway. We anticipate reopening within approximately two weeks, or as soon as the College has finished processing our file.
All affected appointments are being rescheduled, and we will communicate directly with each client as soon as we are able to resume practice.
We deeply regret this disruption, especially given the importance and sensitivity of therapeutic work. Your well-being remains our highest priority. Please know you are not alone right now. The world is enduring a shared trauma, and however it may be affecting you, you deserve support.
