Heather Shaw

Heather has been working in the Employee Assistance Field (EAP) for close to 12 years while simultaneously counselling private clinics since 2003. She has extensive experience in a broad number of areas including addictions and substance use, stress management, separation and relationships, work-life balance, sexuality issues, assertiveness and self esteem.
She uses a supportive and realistic approach to helping clients identify obstacles, work through those challenges, build on and enhance personal strengths and set healthy and achievable goals. Her strength is in guiding clients towards creating the changes they seek to make in their lives with dignity and integrity.
More than 17 years post MSW developing therapeutic and clinical skills with voluntary and mandatory client populations within a wide range of settings.
